Rescued Puppy Mill Dog Finds Her Person

Carly, a golden retriever saved from a life of abuse in a puppy mill, has finally found the love and care she deserves, thanks to the Webster family in Ohio. Rachel Webster, her husband Tyler, and their three children have fostered over 140 dogs, but Carly’s story stands out.

Carly had spent her early years being used for breeding, only to be discarded once her purpose was served. A kind stranger rescued her from a breeder and attempted to find her a new home, but after a failed adoption, Carly ended up with Planned Pethood, a local rescue organization. When Rachel spotted Carly’s photo on the site, she knew she had to help.

Though Carly was in poor health, suffering from severe ear infections and emotional trauma, she quickly bonded with the Webster family, especially their 5-year-old daughter, Kennedy. Carly’s quiet demeanor—likely the result of past abuse—only deepened their connection. Kennedy soon expressed her wish to keep Carly forever, and for her fifth birthday, the Websters made that wish come true by officially adopting her. Now, Carly is living a life of comfort and affection. The special bond between Kennedy and Carly has captured the hearts of many, with a video of them shared on the family’s TikTok account getting thousands of views and likes!
