Puppy Victim of Hit and Run Now Living Best Life

When Declan was just a puppy, he and another dog were victims of a hit-and-run. They were left on the side of the road for hours until a kind human saw them and called several rescues looking for a place that could take them in. Fortunately, Paw Patrol Animal Rescue and Sanctuary stepped in and took Declan. The young hit-and-run victim ended up having both an eye and leg removed. However, that hasn’t stopped the Shih Tzu from living his best life.

Paw Patrol Rescue shared Declan’s story on Instagram, with a plea for donations to help the hit-and-run victim. That was where his new human, Shanna Proudfit, spotted him. As soon as she read his story, she knew that the brave pup was coming home with her. Now, Declan has a new human and some fuzzy siblings! 

Declan has gained a following on Instagram where he shows people around the world that it is okay to be different. The “tripawd” even sometimes goes to Shanna’s work at a school for children with autism with her. Additionally, Declan loves playing with his toys and eating treats.
