Two teenagers in Ruislip, London, were found guilty of torturing and killing two kittens in acts the judge described as “the most awful offences against animals I have seen in this court.” One kitten was allegedly cut open and hung with a rope. Evidence shows the crime was premeditated, with one boy even expressing violent fantasies on his phone.
Both teens were sentenced to detention, but locking them up without tackling the root cause of their violence won’t protect animals or people in the future. Experts agree that ongoing mental health Support is the most effective way to prevent reoffending and stop violent behaviour from escalating.
Sign the petition now to demand London authorities provide mandatory mental health treatment for these teens. Sign the petition now to protect both people and animals.
