A metalcore singer, previously imprisoned for attempting to hire a hitman to murder his wife, has now been caught on camera brutally beating his dog in California. This man, who served only two years of a six-year sentence, is clearly still violent—and now animals are his victims.
Video evidence shows the frontman of As I Lay Dying attacking his terrified dog in a fit of rage outside his home. This isn’t an isolated incident—15 musicians have left the band, citing psychological distress and moral conflicts from working with him. He is now the sole remaining member.
The link between domestic violence and animal abuse is well-documented. Someone with such a history of violence shouldn’t be allowed near vulnerable beings. California authorities must take action before another victim—human or animal—suffers.
