Amidst pressure from Animal rights advocates, the European Commission has finally announced its plan to phase out the use of animals in experiments and chemical testing!

But some experts are worried about a glaring omission. The European Commission has made no commitments to uphold the EU ban on animal testing for cosmetics, which was passed over ten years ago. This ban is the cornerstone of EU policy to protect animals from unnecessary harm and abuse — and it can’t be overlooked.
