Katie Price, the former glamour model turned reality star, has recently found herself embroiled in a controversy concerning the care of her pets. Accusations have surfaced, stemming from a TikTok Live session, in which she appeared to hit her new puppy, Tank. This incident has further fueled activists’ calls for her to be banned from keeping animals, shedding light on her track record of unfortunate animal tragedies.

The 45-year-old celebrity has faced immense scrutiny from the public and animal rights organizations after the tragic death of her protection dog, Blade, in June. Following Blade’s passing, Price announced the adoption of a new puppy named Tank. However, it was during a TikTok Live session that users claimed to have witnessed her slapping the puppy off-screen, an act that raised concerns and sparked outrage among viewers.

The video depicted Tank mischievously sitting on Price’s clothes as she engaged with her followers. Frustrated, she could be heard reprimanding the puppy, even raising her hand, which appeared to result in a loud smack. While the incident was met with laughter from Price and her friend, it provoked significant backlash from viewers who commented on the video, questioning her actions toward the puppy.

This incident is not isolated, as it follows a series of unfortunate events involving Price’s pets. Her animal care history is marred by the deaths of several dogs, a horse, and even a chameleon. PETA, a prominent animal rights organization, has been particularly vocal about her actions. PETA’s Vice President of Programmes, Elisa Allen, condemned Price’s treatment of animals, asserting that after the seventh animal’s death under her care, she should face legal consequences and a lifetime ban on owning animals.

Blade’s death was a turning point, prompting activists to call for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding it. PETA’s Elisa Allen urged authorities to delve into the matter and hold Price accountable, while also implicating breeders who continued to provide her with animals despite her troubling track record.
