Five Beautiful Bird Songs

When they open their mouth and start singing, their song pierces through the others. Their distinctive song goes up in pitch slowly as they communicate with fellow birds.

2. Purple Sunbird

Sitting on a wire, the purple sunbird’s iridescent feathers reflect the light of the sun. His long beak is a sight to behold, but what comes out of it is even more amazing. In a courtship ritual, the small lets out a beautiful, chirping song.

3. Musician Wren

It says it right in the name, this bird is a musician! With a fluffy head, spotted feathers, and an extremely pointy beak, you might not assume that this little bird is one of the most beautiful singers in the animal kingdom. While the video is a still image of the musician wren, you can clearly hear their song in the background.

4. Pied Butcherbird

The Pied Butcherbird is thought to be one of the most musical birds in the world. Native to Australia, this bird has a flutey and elaborate song that can be sung alone, as a duet, or even in a full chorus. They make a wide range of calls, each of which serves their own purpose.

5. Oropendolas

Recorded at Dave and Dave’s Nature Park in Costa Rica, the oropendolas have a unique and vibrant sound that some equate to the sound of a babbling brook or waterfall.
