Dog Gets Shady Beach Spot Courtesy of Her Caring Human

While the beach is lots of fun, it can get hot out there! Long hours in the sun can be dangerous for dogs, as they cannot cool off as efficiently as humans. Hot weather and prolonged sun exposure can put dogs at risk of heatstroke. Fortunately, when a dog named Sophie went to the beach, her human made sure that she had a cool and shady spot to hang out in.

Sophie lives in Australia with her human. While the Border Collie and German Shepherd mix loves the beach, it can sometimes get a little too hot for her. So, her human decided to build her a shady, cool spot to hang out in.

To build the shelter, Sophie’s human dug a hole and placed two bodyboards over the top. This gave the pup a private, shady spot to enjoy between swims. It looks like Sophie enjoyed having her own shady beach nook!
