A remarkable cat named Rayne Beau went on a journey from Wyoming to California, leaving his family in a state of distress. This gray cat went missing during a camping trip in Yellowstone National Park. On June 4, Benny and Susanne Anguiano took Rayne Beau and their other cat to Yellowstone’s Fishing Bridge RV Park. Shortly after their arrival, Rayne Beau was startled and dashed into the trees, disappearing without a trace. Despite their efforts to locate him over four days, including leaving out his favorite toys and treats, the couple had to return to Salinas, California, on June 8, heartbroken.

While driving through the Nevada desert, Susanne spotted a double rainbow. This moment sparked hope for her—she believed it was a sign that Rayne Beau would be safe. Two months later, an unexpected message changed everything. The Anguianos were informed that their cat had been found at the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Roseville, California, nearly 900 miles away.

A kind woman had discovered Rayne Beau wandering the streets, providing him with food and water before successfully capturing him. Upon learning of his recovery, the couple drove to Roseville the very next day, only to find their cat had lost significant weight and was in poor condition. The Anguianos remain puzzled about how the cat made such a long journey. They suspect he was trying to find his way home. To prevent future incidents, they have now equipped their cats with GPS trackers and air tags, in addition to microchipping.
