This is a mushroom recipe for people who don't like mushrooms. The mushrooms are sliced thinly and then tossed in a bold, smokey mixture of spices and salt and then baked to crispy perfection. They work great as an addition to a salad, vegan mac and cheese, or pretty much anything you're planning eating!

The Best Crispy Mushrooms [Vegan, Gluten-Free]

Ingredients

  • 1 small container of mixed mushrooms, sliced thin
  • Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of liquid aminos
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon of liquid smoke
  • A pinch of pink Himalayan sea salt
  • Freshly cracked pepper, to taste

Preparation

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and line your baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Place the sliced mushrooms in a bowl and add all of the ingredients.
  3. Toss them with olive oil so they are coated well.
  4. Pour them onto the baking sheet in an even layer and bake. Pop them in the oven and check on them around the 30-35 minute mark. Leave them in there until they are the desired crispiness. Let them cool before serving them.
