The Beatles said it best when they said “All you need is love.” Love can transform almost anyone or anything. When people or animals are neglected, all it usually takes is some consistent affection to bring them out of their shell.
Poor Rusty Diamond the homeless dog looked so dejected and ill when his human friend used to visit him. Covered in dirt and tumors, he looks like he’s one step from the grave. How can a four-legged being have never gone for a walk? To be outside, but not free to run, had to be torture for the little fella. That’s like a human never going out of the house to walk around the block.
This sweet dog was in desperate need of care and love so when his rescuer came to approach him, he accepted the affection and decided to trust him, which paid off for him. He got a little rub-a-dub-dub, some healthcare, some food and a nice new family that has space for him to runaround. Sometimes all it takes is to be free is to be let off of a leash, whether it’s a physical or mental one.
