How can you tell if a goat is truly happy? Well, besides the fact that they’re probably jumping all over the place, the key is to take a look at their tails. If said tails are moving at a pace faster than 100 miles per hour, then you can tell that this is one giddy goat.
Just take a gander at Ebony and Ivory, the little rescued goats from Edgar’s Mission Farm Sanctuary. Everyone knows that breakfast is a goat’s favorite meal, so Ebony and Ivory are already brimming with excitement.
Sanctuary founder, Pam Ahern, asks the goats if they’re hungry and they respond with a very enthusiastic “yes!” so she sets off to get their bottles. The second she returns with full bottles ready to go, their tails start twitching. As she steps over the divider and presents the goats with their breakfast, their tails set into full happy mode.
What a way to start the day!
