Creamy Saffron and Fennel Tea Latte [Vegan]
- 8 threads saffron
- 10 whole cardamom pods
- 1 tablespoon whole cloves
- 1 tablespoon fennel seeds
- 1 tablespoon turmeric (fresh grated or powder)
- 4 cups water
- 2 cups almond milk
- In a medium saucepan or small pot, combine the water and spices. Bring to a light boil, then reduce to medium heat and allow to simmer for 10 minutes. While cooking, make your almond milk. Next, add the almond milk to the pot and allow the spices to steep in the milk on low heat for another 3-5 minutes. To serve, strain into a mug and stir in a bit of raw honey or sweetener of your choice.
