Tahini and dates blended together make the tastiest healthy caramel! Think rich, chocolatey gooey goodness packed with healthy fats and full of protein! You wouldn’t believe its actually healthy. This brownie cake is also Vegan, Gluten Free and Paleo.

Caramel Tahini Brownies [Vegan, Gluten-Free]



Cooking Time




For the Brownie:

  • 1 cup Dates (around 9 dates)
  • 1/3 cup Tahini
  • 1 cup Pistachio Milk or milk of your choice
  • 1 cup Lupin Flour (sub with coconut or oat flour)
  • 3 tablespoons Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 cup Cacao Powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar

For the Caramel Layer:

  • 1 cup Dates (around 9 dates)
  • 2 tablespoons Maple Syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Tahini
  • 1 tablespoon plant-based Milk


  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F
  2. Blend together the dates, tahini and milk until smooth and set aside
  3. In a bowl combine the rest of the brownie ingredients and then gradually mix in the date and tahini mix
  4. Plate half the brownie mixture in a silicone cake tin or square tin and put in the oven for around 8 minutes
  5. Meanwhile blend together the caramel ingredients and pour this on top of the brownie from the oven, finally add the rest of the brownie mixture on top and bake for another 30 minutes
