Cabbage Kofta [Vegan]

This cabbage kofta dish is super healthy and flavorful! It is just grated cabbage coated in the richest, freshest and tastiest gravy you have had!

Ingredients You Need for Cabbage Kofta [Vegan]

For the Cabbage Kofta Balls:

  • 5 1/4 cups grated cabbage
  • 3 tablespoons ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups garbanzo flour (more or less) + frying oil
 

For the Sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch
  • 1 teaspoon salt

How to Prepare Cabbage Kofta [Vegan]

  1. Mix grated cabbage with everything expect flour. Add flour slowly until you have a nice dough that holes shape. *you can grate cabbage, salt it then squeeze out excess water to use less flour.
  2. Fry cabbage balls then fry them again
  3. Make sauce by adding everything to a pot. Be sure the water is still cool when adding in the corn starch. Whisk and bring gravy to a boil. If too thick add more water. If too thin add a little corn starch mixed into cool water.
  4. Add double fried cabbage kofta to the gravy. Enjoy!
