How to Prepare Baklava Tartlets [Vegan]

  1. In a small pot, bring the water, sugar, and agave nectar to a simmer. Simmer for about 5 minutes until all liquids are melted together.
  2. In a food processor or blender, pulse the pistachios, walnuts, and cinnamon together until you get small bits. Remove and set aside in a bowl.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons of sugar mixture to the nuts and mix well. Divide nut mixture into filo shells equally
  4. Bake the tartlets in a 350°F oven for 10 minutes. Right when they come out of the oven, pour the extra syrup carefully over each tartlet. Sprinkle with orange zest then let cool completely.
