Baklava Tartlets [Vegan]
When you have mini filo shells, there is only one logical thing to do: make baklava tartlets! These babies are filled with pistachio and walnut bits, sweet agave nectar, and a touch of cinnamon. Careful though! These are addicting!
Ingredients You Need for Baklava Tartlets [Vegan]
How to Prepare Baklava Tartlets [Vegan]
- In a small pot, bring the water, sugar, and agave nectar to a simmer. Simmer for about 5 minutes until all liquids are melted together.
- In a food processor or blender, pulse the pistachios, walnuts, and cinnamon together until you get small bits. Remove and set aside in a bowl.
- Add 2 tablespoons of sugar mixture to the nuts and mix well. Divide nut mixture into filo shells equally
- Bake the tartlets in a 350°F oven for 10 minutes. Right when they come out of the oven, pour the extra syrup carefully over each tartlet. Sprinkle with orange zest then let cool completely.
