Skippy Launches Peanut Butter Packed with Plant-Based Protein!

Skippy Protein

Skippy is a household brand. Most people are aware of their peanut butters and it’s one of the most likely brands to find in the supermarket shelves. Nut butter, especially alternatives to the traditional peanut butter are a rising trend that just keeps growing. Skippy is well aware so they are launching different variations of peanut butter, one of them being high-protein and plant-based.

Along with the launch of other peanut butters, such as the chunky no sugar added peanut butter made with just three ingredients and a pouch of their “natural” peanut butter, they’ve also released Skippy Protein.

Skippy Protein has 10 grams of protein per serving and is totally plant-based. Pea protein is used; another rising trend. Since its use in Beyond Meat burgers and protein powders, pea protein has become a trendy ingredient for plant-based protein products.

As usual, Skippy Protein is available in two varieties: chunky and creamy. The packaging, however, is different this time as they are available in in shorter and wider jars than usual. The peanut butters are already available in select retailers and will be available more widely at the end of the month.
