We all adore chickpeas, and we’re all into hummus. It tastes good when scooped with pita chips, dipped with baby carrots, and slathered on a sandwich. But have you ever had vegan hummus ice cream? We didn’t think so.
The Hummus & Pita Co, a long-standing favorite hummus company, is launching hummus-infused scoops this Sunday. Before you get disgusted, check out the flavors; chocolate, banana, strawberry and cookies & cream. All of the flavors will be made from protein-rich chickpeas, tahini, pure vanilla, coconut cream and almond milk for extra creaminess.
Besides the fact that these ice creams will be healthier than your average frozen dessert, they’ll also be gluten-free and vegan, too. Healthier desserts are trending right now and Hummus Ice Cream satisfies that by being vitamin-rich and nutrient-dense. After the nationwide love and popularity of the hummus shake, it makes sense to have an entire ice cream range.
Hummus Ice Cream will be available at all Hummus & Pita Co. locations in New York City beginning Wednesday, August 1st, and will be offered at the Chelsea location starting Sunday, July 15th.
