ALDI, a supermarket chain with locations in 18 different countries, recently announced the addition of a vegan line of products. The Earth Grown products are all meat-free, and those marked as vegan are also free from other animal products including eggs, dairy, and gelatin. This news comes shortly after the release of plant-based ice creams at ALDI.

The new products include: Asian veggie burgers, meatless jumbo hot dogs, soy protein burgers, southwest quinoa crunch burgers, chickenless patties, chickenless tenders, meatless meatballs, and vegan mozzarella style shreds. All products range in price from $2.49 to $3.89 according to ALDI’s website.

How to Make Your Own Plant-Based Products at Home

If you don’t live near an ALDI or prefer to do most your cooking at home, here are some similar recipes from the Food Monster App!

Asian Quinoa Burgers

These Asian Quinoa Burgers by Erin Druga pack the flavors of Asian food into one dish. Oh yes! These Asian-inspired burgers are made from quinoa, broccoli, and carrots and have a ton of flavor and protein – a delicious and unique way to enjoy your next veggie burger!

Swedish Mushroom Meatballs

Making the perfect veggie meatball is an art and the secret is seasoning. These Swedish Mushroom Meatballs by Cruelty Free Family are blended with fragrant onions, garlic, nutritional yeast for cheesiness, Sriracha, savory liquid aminos, and a few other spices. After being formed and baked until crispy, these meatballs are tossed in a creamy cashew sauce which tastes amazing over mashed potatoes, noodles, or rice. Yum!

Moxarella Cheese

This Moxarella Cheese by Somer McCowan is instant and without any artificial anything. It browns and stretches. This cheese stays in a “melted” type form until baked, and then it forms a nice crust, like dairy cheese does. It’s not intended to be eaten plain (like real dairy fresh mozzarella can). It’s also fairly salty to make it stand out in your recipes, if you prefer less salt, please feel free to reduce to 1/2 teaspoon, or less, but the flavor won’t be as pronounced.
