Alida Knobloch from Loganville, Ga. is a three-year-old who suffers from a rare lung condition known as neuroendocrine hyperplasia in infancy (NEHI), making it difficult for her to breathe on her own.
Her condition requires her to carry an oxygen tank around just to be able to breathe. Luckily, she’s now getting some help from her dog, “Mister Gibbs.”
Alida’s parents told Fox News Atlanta that Mister Gibbs carries her oxygen tanks on his back and has been trained to follow the girl everywhere she goes.
Despite Alida’s medical condition, her family remains committed to helping her live a normal life.
The Knobloch’s are raising funds for research into NEHI. Click HERE to donate to the cause.

I was also very disturbed waichtng this, and am not surprised that it was reported with such enthusiasm from ignorant mainstream adults, like everything usually is. Firstly, I believe that is outright animal cruelty to assign an animal to carry weight around all day. And as you have all mentioned, their relationship looks very uncomfortable. The child has NO respect for this animal, she is being taught that it’s basically her slave. And it is being treated as such. This is completely different from other types of service dogs. This is absolutely ridiculous, the child should be put in a wheel chair, and animal right activists need to speak up about it.
