Watching this video posted on the Beauties and Beasts Inc. Facebook page will not only make you smile but also break your heart at the same time. This sweet dog is named Baya, and you can clearly see the fear in her eyes and throughout her entire body. It almost seems like she believes she is headed to be euthanized, but in fact, it is just the opposite!
This is the same confusion and fear of the unknown countless shelter dogs experience day in and day out. The shelter can be a very scary place for an animal, as it’s filled with strange smells and sounds. Just like Baya, they all deserve a second chance to be safe and loved. Adopting a dog is the easiest (and cheapest!) way to add a new furry member to your family while saving a life. And remember, adopting a dog is a lifetime commitment!
If you are not in a position to adopt but are looking for other ways to help, then consider fostering an animal in need. This helps the animal being fostered, the shelter with space, and allows them to save another innocent life. As always, volunteering, educating others, and sharing profiles of adoptable pets are effective ways to help shelter animals.
We hope to see a part two of this precious video of Baya, but if not, we know she is in great hands thanks to her foster caretaker and Unleashed Pet Rescue and Adoption.

Healthy dogs are not euthanized but killed. I wanted to yell at that woman and tell her to take her out of there to relieve the stress she felt. Maybe it was for the camera and I am grateful she has a home but the poor dog was clearly uncomfortable. I was just watching though and not there.
