Most animals arrive at Edgar’s Mission in dire straits. Many of them were rescued from the animal agriculture industry after being classified as “waste” due to sickness or injury. Pixie was one such animal, and Edgar’s Mission has stepped in to save her life.
Pixie was born with two very deformed front legs. Due to her disability, she would not have been able to last long in the dairy industry without assistance and regular medical care – something that her previous owners were unable or unwilling to provide her with. Luckily, Edgar’s Mission swooped in to give her a second chance.
Now that this sweet little calf is in the care of Edgar’s Mission, the team is focused on getting Pixie’s legs straightened out with splits. It’s going to be a long process, but Pixie is already showing marked improvement. If you compare the video above to when Pixie first got there, it’s like night and day!
