Little brothers and sisters know the exact way to annoy their older siblings, and they know how to do it without getting caught! This is the same situation for dog and cat siblings.
This cat knows that his brother is guarding the food dish and that he is not interested in sharing. He is doing his best to make sure his kitty brother isn’t getting his paws on any of that kibble.
The cat has other plans, though.
It may appear to the unsuspecting dog that his cat brother is just casually laying next to the food bowl. But when this dog looks away, the cat springs into action. He “stretches,” and reaches his paw over the bowl. Then, when he is sure his brother isn’t looking, he grabs a piece of kibble as quickly as possible and shoves it in his mouth.
You can almost see the smirk on his face knowing he got away with it!
