Ah, hide and seek. A childhood favorite for birthday party guests, kids at sleepovers, teenagers who can’t find anything better to do when at a friend’s house, and … baby seals?!
Well, sorta. This curious little seal pup is actually just trying to get a better view of a 13-year-old yellow lab, Mischa. As he bobs up and down in the water, occasionally dipping below the wavy surface and popping back up soon-after, this seal appears to be partaking in the classic game of hide and seek. Mischa is equally as curious, but her excitement is a little more than the seal expected. As soon as the seal scoots onto land, the dog barks and scares the marine-dwelling pup back to sea.
Seals are naturally curious in nature, and while we can’t necessarily confirm that the pup was looking to play a game, we can definitely say that his curious bobbing is simply adorable!
Doesn\’t look like "hide and seek" as much as a seal pup just trying to get out of the water. The dog owner said something like "be nice", instead of teaching the dog not to interfere with this wild animal pup.
