Ring has announced an exciting new initiative called “Ring Pet Portraits,” encouraging pet parents to participate in a campaign aimed at supporting animal shelters. From now until June 14, pet parents are invited to share their favorite pet videos and pictures on Instagram or TikTok with the hashtag #RingPets. For every post submitted, Ring will Donate $10, up to a total of $500,000. This includes $100,000 to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) and an additional $400,000 to various local animal shelters across the United States.

To promote the campaign, Ring has partnered with actress and talk show host Drew Barrymore, a passionate pet owner herself. Barrymore, who has seven rescue pets, stars in a new short film for the campaign alongside her dog Douglas, and her bearded dragon Jeremy. In the film, Barrymore humorously informs Douglas that he is ineligible to participate because he is a “nepo puppy,” while Jeremy appears disappointed that she also cannot join.

Barrymore expressed her enthusiasm for the campaign, saying, “It was absolutely love at first sight for all seven of my pets that fill my home with so much joy and a little dose of chaos from time to time. I’m honored to join Ring on this important mission, celebrate the special bonds and pride pet parents have for their animals, and help generate donations to the ASPCA and local animal shelters.”

In addition to raising funds, the campaign includes a contest component. Posts tagged with #contest and #RingPets will be entered for a chance for one lucky pet to be featured in an upcoming Ring commercial. Drew Barrymore, alongside representatives from the ASPCA, will help select the winner.
