It can be a cold world out there, particularly for little babies. When they’re first exposed to the world, they’re met with noise, bright light and, well, cold air. Human babies greet their new surroundings with a cry, clearing out their lungs for all the future talking they’re going to do! But, what happens if you’re born a chubby little ball that looks like you’re kin to a pine cone?
These three orphaned baby hedgehogs seem a little shy to their new environment at the WildlifeAid sanctuary. The girl in the group starts out with a sneeze that seems to transform into hiccups. She goes from being chilly to needing a quick drink of water to stop those nasty hiccups! While they’re getting marked, the diminutive trio looks like a spiky singing group, waiting for their curtain call! After they’re marked, they’re given the creature comforts they need. They get a nice warm bed, then get bottle-fed something yummy. What more can a newborn hoglet ask for?
