Cows, pigs, chickens, and goats are all social animals that thrive in the company of friends and family. But, sadly, most animals raised in factory farms never get the chance to experience the joy that comes with interacting with others of their kind. The only interaction they get comes with the stress of being crammed into a small cage or shed with hundreds of other animals – this is hardly the sort of socialization any creature would wish for.

Fortunately, some animals are saved from life on a factory farm and get the chance to live happily on their own terms in the care of farm sanctuaries. Luckily, this was the case for the cow in this video!

This adorable rescued cow wants nothing more than to cozy up to her human caretaker in the warm midday sun at Hof Butenland Sanctuary. The cow might be enormous, but she has all the gentleness of a doting mother.

If we could all come to see the beauty and kindness inherent in the animals we share this world with, it would certainly be a much happier place!
