Animals come to sanctuaries from many different backgrounds. Some are saved from horrific conditions in factory farms, while others were abandoned and left to fend for themselves. But once these animals are saved, the real challenge becomes helping them forget the trauma of their past lives and learning to enjoy life again. How does one do that? By cramming as much joy as possible into every single day!

From fresh fruit to rolling pastures, the animals at Santuario Igualdad Interespecie are treated like rock stars. What’s even better is that the volunteers and staff get as much out of it as the animals do! Seriously, doesn’t this place seem right out of a fairytale?
