When you think of a puppy, you probably think of their happy, bright eyes and their wagging tails. You don’t think of kicking a small innocent animal out of a car and leaving him deserted. Sadly, that’s exactly what happened to Eclipse in Louisville, Kentucky.

A citizen witnessed this four-month-old sweetheart being physically kicked out of a vehicle and hitting the pavement. What is wrong with people!? Authorities have a make of vehicle and vague description of a person, but no tag numbers.

Eclipse is now in the care of The Arrow Fund after Metro Animal Services determined he may have a broken jaw. The Arrow Fund provides medical treatment to animals who have been the victims of torture or extreme abuse.

Ulcerations were found on the roof of Eclipse’s mouth, possibly from being burned. He also has fluid in his lungs, so he was immediately placed in an oxygen tank. He has also a very high white blood count and broken blood vessels in his left eye.

Right now, Eclipse is being observed and The Arrow Fund will do further testing. They are already at capacity at their facility, but couldn’t say no to Eclipse.

The Arrow Fund is doing everything to give the poor dog the best care possible and would appreciate donations, which can be made through their website. We’re rooting for you, Eclipse!

If you happen to come across a dog or cat, or any other animal in need, check out these Animal Rescue Hotlines. You could save a life, just like Eclipses!

  1. Too bad they didn\’t get a tag number of the vehicle that did this reprehensible thing. What could this little puppy have done to them to warrant such treatment?
