We advise you to proceed carefully if you are about to watch this video – it may and most probably will melt your heart! Pit Bulls – once known as “nanny dogs” (a stereotype much preferable to those that are prevalent today) – can be just about the sweetest and most playful animals ever. All they need is what every dog needs to be happy and, in turn, they repay their people by making us happy with their gentleness and joy!

Toby, the two-year-old Pit Bull in the video, is a champion when it comes to being affectionate and playful with his caretaker from LifeLine’s DeKalb Animal Services. He seems to enjoy being smothered with love more than anything else in the world – just give him tons of belly rubs and his little face beams in the loveliest smile! Toby is also incredibly adept at kisses – in fact, there probably is not a way to have your face close to this little guy and not get heaps of dog kisses. And, as if that all was not enough to totally sell Toby to anyone, he also has a favorite stuffed animal which he carries with him wherever he goes and when he does – well, he looks just like a textbook example of a Perfect Pup!

Pit Bulls are wonderful but very misunderstood dogs. Sadly, the stigma we put on them costs many Pit Bulls their lives and seriously harms the breeds. Dogs like Toby, however, show that these animals are, in reality, just as devoted and sweet as any other dog – and, most importantly, equally deserving of our respect and love.
