Candace Owens, a conservative political commentator, believes that fat-shaming is a good thing and that it will help provoke a “desire to change.” While we should want people to take care of themselves and stay within a healthy weight range, it’s also important to have compassion. Shaming people for their bodies can lead to eating disorders and even suicidal ideation. Please sign this petition to urge Candance Owens to retract these potentially harmful words!
