Sadly, domestic violence shelters in the United States rarely accept pets, which is one of the reasons victims choose to remain with abusers. Luckily, Praline’s Backyard Foundation in Georgia is opening this year that will house victims’ animal companions until they can find stable housing. This will help protect both animal companions and their humans from violent abusers. Please sign this petition to urge authorities in Georgia to help fund this foundation!
