The Cunninghams had their four children taken away after they were injured in their jobs and became addicted to pain medications. Luckily, both parents were able to get sober and get their lives back on track. However, the North Carolina state foster care system only gave three of their children back because the Cunnighams owed the state money for foster care. Parents should not have their children stolen from them because they can’t afford to pay a bill. Please sign this petition to urge Congress to make it illegal to keep families apart because they can’t afford to pay a bill!
