Over 34,000 people have already spoken out, and we need your voice too. After Florida’s first-ever fatal bear encounter in Collier County, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission allegedly killed three bears without confirming they were responsible. Even the agency admits DNA results are still pending—and that fatal bear attacks in the state are virtually unheard of.
Why were three lives taken before the facts were in? These bears may have had nothing to do with the incident. Such hasty action raises serious concerns about wildlife policy and accountability. Bears are vital to ecosystems and deserve evidence-based, humane management—not reactionary killings.
Sign the petition now to demand the FWC explain their actions and commit to protecting wildlife using science, not fear. Let’s stop unnecessary killings—sign the petition now and share widely.
