Over 700 koalas were allegedly shot from helicopters in Budj Bim National Park, Victoria, following a devastating bushfire that destroyed much of their natural habitat. This brutal cull has sparked global outrage—and for good reason. Koalas, including mothers with joeys, were gunned down instead of being protected or relocated.
The Victorian government must be held accountable for relying on violence instead of science. Experts have long warned that logging, fires, and human expansion are the real culprits behind koala suffering—not the animals themselves. Killing them solves nothing.
There are better solutions: habitat restoration, safe corridors, and rehabilitation programs. Sign the petition now to demand a permanent end to helicopter culls and insist on compassionate, evidence-based policies that protect koalas—not punish them. Sign now. Share widely. Koalas can’t wait.
