These 10 orphaned puppies lost their mom when they were just a few weeks old. Not yet weaned, their rescuers at Doggie Protective Services in Romoland, California took them in and finished raising them before they were all adopted into their new forever homes.
These ten pups were the lucky ones. It is estimated that about 1.2 million dogs are euthanized in kill shelters every year because there simply aren’t enough homes out there for all the animals who need loving families. Many regions of the United States have profound problems with homeless animals. As responsible pet parents, we can all play our part by always adopting instead of shopping for a pet – and making sure to spay or neuter and new members of the family.
Based on the giant smiles of the people who adopted these pups, we’re sure they’re all off to lead happy, healthy lives – all thanks to the kind people who fostered them!
