Orphan Kitten Gets a Second Chance…These Beautiful Photos Capture Her Story

Far too often, unwanted animals are thrown to the side of the street like discarded trash and left for some outside force to determine their fate. Though, unfortunately, some animals leave us without getting a second chance at survival, some are fortunate enough to be granted the opportunity to take yet another bite out of life.

Found starving and alone under a building, Rodi the orphaned calico kitten may have been either lost or completely abandoned. She was a mere two weeks old upon her discovery. This means that if Rodi had not been found, she would — most likely — no longer be with us today.

Luckily, Rodi was given a second chance by a friendly human who rescued and eventually decided to adopt the cute little calico. Follow Rodi on her journey (and don’t be afraid to let out a few “AW”s along the way!)

Rodi was only two weeks old when she was found.

At such a young age, Rodi needed some extra gentle handling.

She also needed to be bottle fed and allowed time to take long, warm naps.

Rodi found comfort in some soft stuffed animals.

She began to regain her strength and grow.

And she even made some friends along the way!

Rodi can be a little silly at times…

And she even likes to take a selfie every now and then.

Today, Rodi is practically a new cat.

Although she still enjoys the occasional nap!
