Mini Dachshund Found After Being Lost Underground for Days

A Mini Dachshund was lost underground for two days after managing to get into an underground tunnel while chasing rabbits. Dachshunds are a breed that originated in Germany and were specifically bred to hunt animals that burrow underground such as rabbits, rats, and badgers.

After the Mini Dachshund went missing, his family refused to give up searching for him. With the help of friends and family, they used drain cameras and hearing equipment to find the dog underground. The father did not sleep for two days as he attempted to locate the beloved dog. A video of the emotional moment he was discovered was posted to TikTok account @alexandracorby. Although the Mini Dachshund at first seems disoriented and frightened when he emerges from the tunnel, he is quickly elated to be back with his family. 

Viewers were happy the Mini Dachshund was reunited with his family. They were also shocked that the pup managed to survive two days underground without apparent access to food or water. Many also pointed out how typical this type of behavior is for Dachshund breed dogs. TikTok user Absolutely Crystal wrote “Typical dachshund. Mine got stuck in a squirrel hole. Had to move a shed to dig her out. And they look for another hole to dig right away.” The video showing the Mini Dachshund’s rescue has been liked one million times on TikTok.
