Meet Maya. Maya was born with a spinal deformity that makes it hard for her to walk, and she spent most of her life locked up in a crate. But then she met her guardian angel. Kathy Guminski runs Pit Stop Rescue, and one day she came across a Facebook post from a shelter with Maya’s picture. The post said that if a home could not be found for the seven month old pup, she would have to be euthanized.
Guminski knew she had to do something, and she took Maya in and made a “Go Fund Me” page to help her get a wheelchair. Now Maya is getting back on her feet, finally able to get some exercise and move around. She will still need surgery on her spine in the future, but at least she has a future to look forward to now. Maya is still in need of a forever home, so help us spread the word.
Just as Guminski says in the video, nobody is perfect. Maya will make just as loving and wonderful a pet as any dog with use of all four legs. Just look at that face! Who could not fall in love with a sweet girl like Maya?
