They Found a Mama Dog With Her Feet Tied and Basket of Sick Puppies, So They Did Something Great

We really can’t believe this. Just recently, a female dog and her five babies were found on the side of the road in south Texas. The adult dog was found in a plastic container and her puppies were found in a basket nearby. To make the situation somehow even worse, the mom’s feet were bound with a bungee cord, so it’s assumed she was forcefully tied up before being dumped along with her puppies. Who would do such a thing!?

Thankfully, a kind person heard the puppies screaming and spotted the dogs on the side of the road. A black garbage bag had covered the mom’s view of her babies and she was unable to do anything while she listened to their desperate cries.

Immediately, the man put the suffering family in his car and sped to find something more suitable to put the dogs in (the purple pool, seen below).

From there, the dogs were transported to the local emergency hospital and Rescue Dogs Rock NYC has stepped in to help with the rescue. Heartbreakingly, two of the puppies died while in the basket and the mother has been described as a “pile of bones” by the local emergency hospital. 

As you can imagine, these innocent animals are in critical condition. The mom is filthy and emaciated and all the dogs are covered in fleas, ticks, are dehydrated and have pale gums. 

It’s unknown how long the dogs were left in the 100-degree heat, but clearly, it was a minute too long with two of the puppies dying in the summer sun with no food or water. Luckily, Rescue Dogs Rock NYC certainly isn’t going to give up on the rest of the family. “This innocent family deserves everything we can give them,” Stacey Silverstein, the rescue groups co-founder said in a Facebook post.
