As animal lovers, it breaks our hearts to hear stories of animals who have been abused or neglected by people. Although we love and cherish the dogs in our lives, not everyone regards these animals with the same care and respect. Jax the Pit Bull puppy was sadly exposed to the latter early on in life.
At only five-months-old, Jax was the victim of a vicious attack from another dog in an illegal dog fighting ring. In fighting rings, cruel humans train their dogs to be aggressive and attack to kill by using “bait dogs,” or dogs that are smaller or more docile than the others. Most bait dogs never survive this life, but Jax was lucky enough to be saved by a group of kind people.
Given the severity of his wounds, it was incredibly uncertain whether or not he would pull through the first few days of treatment, but through it all his amazing spirit and will to live carried on. Now, years later, this happy pup is thriving and learning how to enjoy all the little things in life. All animals deserve this chance to live free from harm – a big thank you to the kind people who made this all possible for Jax!
