Golden Retriever Tries to Help Human Garden [Video]

Alicia Henderson, 47, never gardens alone. Her 18-month-old golden retriever, Finn, is always by her side, eager to help but often creating chaos instead. Whenever Henderson is outside tending to her New Jersey garden, Finn enthusiastically digs up the soil, moves tools, and chews on her gloves, turning gardening into a total adventure.

In May, Henderson captured Finn’s antics on a TikTok video (@ourgoldenboyfinn), where he was seen moving gardening tools and using a watering can as a chew toy. The video quickly went viral, amassing over 88,100 views, 9,000 likes, and more than 180 comments, resonating with viewers who loved Finn’s playful spirit.

Henderson shared that Finn’s passion for the garden extends to every part of the process. Despite learning to be gentle with the flowers, Finn remains mischievous with empty plant containers and is determined to relocate the sprinkler whenever he can. What would normally take Henderson two hours to garden stretches into an all-day affair thanks to Finn’s energetic involvement.
