Streetdog Foundation, an organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming abandoned dogs in Memphis, Tennessee, was alerted to a dog found living behind a warehouse in South Memphis, Tennessee. Despite the countless rescues Streetdog Foundation sees, they probably weren’t prepared for the unimaginable condition Liam was found in. Liam’s left eye was swollen shut, his tail was possibly broken, he had bite marks all over his body, and a gash on his face.

Dogfighting is a common and cruel industry that often goes overlooked and unnoticed because it is an underground practice. While dogfighting is illegal in all 50 states, that hardly prevents people from continuing to abuse animals. If you suspect a dog is being abused for dogfighting, please contact authorities and leave an anonymous tip.

We need to get the prevention end going and get legislators to curb breeding to begin with …licensing for breeders and random checks…would be a lot cheaper than clean up operations, and would help a lot of pets! Then accountability on the abuse end! People all have to care enough to get this done, and the animals will benefit. This guy deserved to have never had to go through this. We are all supposed to learn from this, but will we?
Our legislatures need to make the laws much much longer time in jail and make it a FELONY!!!! They need to imagine if they went through this type of treatment and pain and then the justice system would not let these people out of jail.
These a—– that do any kind of harm to animals SHOULD receive the same treatment… EXACTLY the same as what the poor dog went through – they too should go through and at the end just let them rot!!!! I never read anything on the internet ONLY animal stories and these stories break my heart. Dogs give EVERY human being unconditional love and the least we could do is give it back to them.
