Mia is a seven-year-old buffalo whose life, until very recently, was hanging by a thread. After dislocating her leg in a fight with another animal, the beautiful buffalo could have ended up in a slaughterhouse but, fortunately, she escaped that future. Mia was saved thanks to her caretaker, a poor farmer, who decided to send her to a sanctuary rather than a slaughterhouse.
Now Mia lives is at Resq Charitable Trust where she is to healing and exploring her new life with her baby, Happy Dent. “Compassion is a choice and kindness is truly taking over, one step at a time,” the team writes on their Facebook page.
