Nothing warms our hearts more than seeing an animal recover from an injury that most would have thought was irreversible. We’ve seen a dog left in trash bags for days miraculously recover and turn into an amazing healthy pup. Lame horses left in ravines to die, and a goat who had to have his leg amputated, all recover and transform into thriving, happy animals. All these astounding, happy endings come thanks to a few incredible humans who helped to rescue and rehabilitate them. We think every animal, no matter how big or small, deserves the chance to enjoy life to the fullest.

There is nothing like seeing a look of exuberance on the face of an animal who just realized their lives are about to get a whole lot better. Take for example, this little Chihuahua.

We do not know what circumstances led to this pup’s missing front paw, but it looks like he’s kind of bummed about it.

Luckily, his human had a rather ingenious idea to help cheer this little guy up. At first, the pup is not too sure of his human’s intentions … “Hooman, whatcha got there?”

Boom! He gets it. “Look mom! I’ve got a lil’ hand that looks just like yours!”

 

Now, if that didn’t just put a big goofy smile on your face, we don’t know WHAT will!
