Traumatized Homeless Dog Who Was Covered in Oil Avoided Everyone – Until These Rescuers Showed Up (VIDEO)

When a kind woman, Mrs. Bholi, told Guardians of the Voiceless, a non-profit rescue organization, about a puppy who was covered in oil, unable to stand up and in terrible shape, they knew they had to take action quickly.

Despite having carried out countless rescues, Guardians of the Voiceless was heartbroken to see the dog lying helplessly on the ground covered in oil. The poor dog had flies and ants all around her and when the rescue team got closer, they noticed an infected wound on her leg. Understandably, the dog was in so much pain that she wouldn’t let anyone touch her. Locals said that she had an accident a couple of days prior and even though they tried to help by feeding her, they were at a loss as to how to help.

Now named Cia, the dog needed immediate emergency care, so Guardians of the Voiceless picked her up and got her to the vet right away. After a complete evaluation, the vet determined that she was anemic and her wound was infected. Cia was also dehydrated and was immediately given IV fluids as well as the proper medication. Her leg wound was also treated. Mrs. Bholi has compassionately offered to watch Cia as she continues to heal from the traumatic ordeal.

We are so thankful for the sweet woman who didn’t give up on Cia and for Guardians of the Voiceless and their tireless work on behalf of animals.
