Nancy the dog was abandoned in a garbage dump with a broken spine. Unable to stand on her feet, this dog’s only means of survival was to drag herself across the ground to find scraps of food. When rescuers found her, she was placed under intensive care for three weeks to treat both her injured spine and her extreme anemia from blood loss. Although this poor dog experienced a world of suffering, she was not ready to give up, nor were her rescuers ready to give up on her.

We can rest assured that no matter what happens with Nancy’s rehabilitation, hope is not lost if she doesn’t regain the ability to walk on her own again. Technology allows us to give mobility to disabled animals from all walks of life. So, even if Nancy can’t run to the humans who have already helped her in immeasurable ways, a set of wheels, should she need it, will give her all the mobility she needs to deliver plenty of doggy kisses.
