High in eastern Brazil’s Espinhaço mountain range, there lives a tiny species of frogs unlike any other. Discovered by Dr. Bela Barata, these Brazilian frogs spend their entire lives living in bromeliad plants. These plants collect water from the rains, creating a habitat for the fingernail-sized amphibians. The taxonomic name for these frogs is Crossodactylodes itambe.

A new monument has been unveiled in a Parisian park. Located in the Square Boucicaut, the sculpture honors the animals which died during World War One. Featuring a dog, a donkey, a horse, and a dove being led by a soldier, this monument was inspired by a similar project in London known as the Animals in War Memorial.
