A senior dog is melting hearts on TikTok after a video showed him playing with his new puppy friend. The cute interaction has drawn viral attention, amassing over 112,000 likes online.

In the video, a senior pup named Cooper can be seen lying in the grass as a puppy runs around him. Although puppies may sometimes annoy older dogs, Cooper loves the interaction. He rolls on his back as the younger dog frolics around him. 

The text overlay on the video explains the situation. It reads, “POV you introduced your sisters puppy to your elderly dog.” A caption that also accompanies the video highlights the benefits of providing a senior dog with younger canine companionship. The caption says, “He played like a puppy again”. Indeed, a 2023 study showed that dogs who lived with another pup had better health outcomes than solitary canines.
