All animal lovers know that urgent gut feeling that happens when you spot an animal in distress. You want to immediately shoot up the tree and save the kitten or jump into the freezing lake to rescue a stuck duck. But sometimes our rational mind gets in the way of these knee-jerk “I am Superman” moments. When this happens, we call up the local authorities and get a professional to help us out.
While you might think this is the less dramatic route to take … we beg to differ. Take this bad ass cop for instance. He was called in to rescue a dog who was stuck on a median in the middle of a busy highway. Now, most humans would be terrified at the prospect of running across traffic to save the dog, Frogger style. But the cop is the man, so he casually strolls out, gives some dirty looks to a few truckers and just like that … traffic stops and the dog is saved.
